Brewing date: 22 Feb 2025

Ingredients

Wort

Malt - 3 kg
Maris Otter. Crushed.
Hops - 50 g
Dried leaves
Yeast - 6 g
Youngs u brew

Bottling

Sugar - 80 g
Quantity multiplier

Directions

Step 1

Bring 7L of water to 65 C

Step 2

Add 3kg malt

Step 3

Keep temp at 65-68 C for 1h

Step 4

Filter out malt

Step 5

Add 40g of hops gentle boil for 1h

Step 6

Add remaining 10g of hops in the for the last 5 mins of the boil

Step 7

Filter out hops

Step 8

Chill wort as quickly as possible to 18-22 C (ice bath or leave outdoors) - be careful not to contaminate it - seal it

Step 9

Transfer to fermentation container

Step 10

Sprinkle yeast (can activate before that)

Step 11

Seal for about 2 weeks until fermentation is finished

Step 12

Keep in temp range 18-22C in a dark place

Step 13

When bottling add 4 grams of sugar per 500ml of beer
