Spiced Meatballs

Ingredients
Sauce
Olive oil - 2 tbsp
Smoked paprika - 1 tbsp
Mixed herbs - 1 tsp
Chilli flakes - ½ tsp
Tinned tomatoes - 800 g
Chopped
Garlic clove - 3
Onion - 1
(Optional) Butter
Meatballs
Red onion - 2
Finely chopped
Garlic clove - 3
Spring onion - 3
Finely chopped
Salt - 1 tsp
Peppercorn - 1 tsp
Ground
MSG - ½ tsp
Ground beef - 500 g
Can use turkey instead
Eggs - 1
Bread - 100 g
One slice blitzed to crumbs

Parsley

Directions
Step 1
In a bowl add ground meat (turkey/beef), egg, bread crumbs, salt, pepper, diced onion, diced garlic, diced spring onion and MSG. Mix until combined.
Step 2
Shape into equal sized balls and fry over medium high heat for 8-10 minutes turning frequently until golden.
Step 3
Heat oil and fry the onions until softened then add garlic. Stir in paprika, mixed herbs and chilli flakes.
Step 4
Add tinned chopped tomatoes and simmer for 10mins. Add seasoning to taste.
Step 5
Taste the sauce. If it's too sour, add some sugar and butter to balance it out.
Step 6
Add the meat balls and simmer for 5-10 mins.
Step 7
Serve topped with fresh parsley and your choice of pasta.
